Utah's Lacrosse Gear Recycling Program

How It Works

Every piece of gear has a path. Here's exactly how we turn old equipment into something meaningful.

The Process

Three steps from submission to second life.

You Submit the Form

Fill out the gear submission form. Elijah will contact you directly with drop-off or shipping details.

Gear Gets Assessed

Every piece is inspected. Usable gear is separated from broken equipment so it goes to the right program.

It Gets Repurposed

Broken parts enter one of two recycling tracks. Usable gear skips straight to donation.

The Three Programs

After assessment, gear goes into one of these three tracks based on condition.

Melt & Remake

Broken shafts & broken heads

Melting only happens once enough scraps are collected.

  1. 1.Broken shafts and heads are collected and sorted by material.
  2. 2.Once enough scraps accumulate, materials are melted in batches.
  3. 3.Melted material is remolded into new shafts and heads.
  4. 4.Finished gear is donated to players, teams, or school programs.

Workout Handles โ€” $25

  2. 2.Shafts are cut down to standard grip lengths.
  3. 3.Ends are finished and wrapped for a comfortable grip.
  4. 4.Handles are sold for $25 โ€” proceeds support the program.

Direct Donation

Gear in good condition

  2. 2.Equipment is matched to size and condition requirements.
  3. 3.Gear is bundled and delivered to local schools and youth programs.
